Holly Ross, MD, Joins Packard Health Medical Staff
Holly Ross, MD, has joined
the medical staff at Packard Health, and will be the first physician
to practice at Packard Health West when the new office opens in October
on Ann Arbor’s west side.
Dr. Ross recently completed
a residency in the department of Family Practice at the University
of Michigan Health System (UMHS).
Prior to her residency with the UMHS, Dr. Ross practiced family medicine in
Vermont.
From 2001-2004, she was a
United States Navy flight surgeon.
After providing outpatient
medical care at the Marine Corps training center in Twenty-Nine Palms,
California, she deployed to Iraq, where she led a seven-physician
medical department caring for Marines, US civilians and foreign contractors
at a base outside Fallujah.
Raymond Rion, MD, Packard Health’s Medical Director, and the entire staff
welcome Dr. Ross enthusiastically.
“Holly brings a unique
set of skills to our practice. She shares with all of us the commitment
to provide excellent care to all of our patients, whatever their background
and regardless of their financial situation.
As our practice prepares
to open a second location, we are fortunate to have assembled a superb
medical and support
staff.”
Dr. Ross said that she is
impressed that for 35 years, Packard Health has provided excellent
health care to some of the community’s neediest citizens. She
also noted that 50 percent of patients are fully ensured and could
go anywhere in Ann Arbor for medical care, but have chosen Packard
Health for the consistently high quality of care provided.
“ I am fortunate to
have this opportunity,” she says, “to engage with an excellent
group of colleagues to serve a growing group of patients.”
Packard Health West will open in the Saint Joseph Mercy Health Building at
Maple and Dexter in October.
